Three people talking at a booth, with the artist, Timothy Colt.

A Photographer of Energy In Motion.

Tim Colt was born and raised in the Hudson Valley, a place that shaped the way he sees the world. From a young age, he had a natural ability to notice details most people overlook—subtle light, quiet moments, the emotion behind a split-second interaction.

As he grew and explored, Tim realized he was most drawn to the moments that often go unseen. His photography reflects that instinct. He has a genuine talent for capturing light, movement, and energy in a way that feels honest and immediate.

As he wandered through the world and the people in it, Tim became drawn to the moments that usually slip between frames: the unspoken, the unseen, the seconds humming with feeling. He feels deeply connected to people, animals, and the natural world, and that connection shows in his work. He has a way of translating what he senses, love, stillness, anticipation, into images that resonate.

After searching for his calling, Tim found clarity in the simple truth that he’s meant to document and share these moments. His photography invites viewers in, not just to see a scene, but to feel the emotion within it.
